Visiting old friends in Arlington and we decided dinner was in order. They lived near Ruthie's and said we have to go. It does not disappoint. We are fans of brisket and ribs and the menu was great. Asked the waiter what he recommended on the menu and he said "everything". He wasn't wrong. You can order entrees with two or 3 sides. I went for the ribs with home made biscuits (crunchy outside and soft buttery inside) and Mac and cheese (honestly the best Mac and cheese I have ever had). Wife got the brisket and loved it. More food than we could eat at one sitting (great portions), but I ate almost all of it anyway. My ribs fell off the bone. Sauces were perfect for the pairings. Also a shout out to the wait staff. Our waiter, Rowan, was very attentive and prompt. Food arrived quicker than I expected. Special note: they make limited quantities of the food, so if brisket is your thing, make sure you order quickly before they run out.

Ruthie’s All-Day Breakfast was the best breakfast we had while in Virginia and Washington. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor.
The sausage was exceptional — truly one of the best I’ve ever had in my life.
Absolutely worth it and a must-visit if you’re in the area.

Ate here for dinner and had some really good barbecue. I had the Grilled Salmon with potato salad and brussel sprouts sides. The salmon was well cooked and was very good. The potato salad was also good and the brussel sprouts were great. Others in our party had the brisket, which they liked, and the chicken tenders, which were ok, but not great.
Really good service and atmosphere here. A nice place in the neighborhood to eat and get good wood-fired southern barbecue.

I was in town for my kids’ event when someone recommended Ruthie’s All-Day, and it did not disappoint. It’s not often you go to a restaurant where everything is great, but this place absolutely delivered. The food was outstanding, and the presentation was on point.
The atmosphere was pleasantly surprising—warm and inviting. Jon was an excellent server—friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. Glad I trusted a stranger’s recommendation!

Giving a 5 star rating because my experience was just that awesome! My bestfriend and I met up there on a whim without any reservations during their brunch service. When we inquired with the host we were told it would be an hour wait for a table but that we could check at the bar. Much to our luck there were two empty seats right at the end of the bar and we were welcomed to sit by the patrons next to them. We were warmly and hilariously greeted my the bartender Nam who then proceeded to give us some of the best customer service we have ever had.
Now for the food! The cornbread was absolutel perfection - no notes. Crispy edges, fluffy moist center, slathered in delicious honey butter. We also tried the hush puppies which were sooo flavorful even my picky eater of a bestfriend came back for more, we just had wished there could be a tad more shrimp in it but can’t say they weren’t good. My drink was delicious and strong, I had a whiskey mule that was crisp and refreshing, my friend had the Irish coffee which she enjoyed. We both went with sandwiches for entrees, she the pulled pork and I the RAD burger; we agreed that they were too good not to finish right there - leftovers wouldn’t do them justice. The fries were an extra $2 but lemme tell you they were some torch fries!! House made, fried to a crisp golden brown and nicely seasoned; the perfect accompaniment to our sandwiches.
Overall we’ll definitely be returning. Thanks for a great time!!!

Ruthie’s All Day is always buzzing, and now I understand why! Even though the place gets really busy, the restaurant itself is quite large, so you don’t feel cramped and the energy feels fun instead of overwhelming.
We tried their oyster dish to start — it comes with 5 pieces and they’re on the smaller side, but beautifully presented just like everything else that came out. Honestly, every plate here looks like it was made for photos.
My favorite was definitely the tri-tip steak paired with my vegetable side. The portion was so generous that it fed me for dinner and again the next morning. Flavorful, tender, and just overall satisfying.
Service was quick, friendly, and super on top of things even during the dinner rush. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and they surprised us with the most delicious cookie and ice cream combo — warm, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending.
Definitely a spot worth visiting, especially if you want great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere!

Ruthie’s All-Day has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants — and for good reason. We came with friends visiting from New York, and they absolutely loved it too.
Everything we tried was fantastic. The hush puppies were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the cornbread was warm, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet, and both the steak and brisket were cooked to perfection — tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The drinks were great as well, perfectly complementing the meal.
The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the service made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for amazing Southern-inspired comfort food done right, Ruthie’s All-Day is a must-visit.

Delighted I came to this place. I’m in the area for a few days and I googled Best Breakfast Restaurant in Arlington and oh boy! Google was not wrong the atmosphere, the decor, the employees and most importantly the food was beyond my expectations. If you’re looking for true American cuisine with a sprinkle of home prepared by your favorite southern grandma look no further! Oh and they have eggs ALL DAY! Which was amazing because I ended up ordering lunch but a side of eggs and biscuits which OH MY GOODNESS best biscuits I’ve had in my 19 years in this country. I will definitely be back not only because of what I mentioned above but also because Billy my waiter was stupendous and even though he had quite a lot of tables to take of during the lunch rush he made me feel like I was the only one he was serving. That charisma and uncle-ly customer service it’s the true asset of the service industry, and Billy rocks at it! Btw, I’m Colombian so I get to be picky about my coffee and the coffee here is REALLY GOOD! Accompany with a cookie and it’ll be the cherry on top of your experience here at Ruthie’s. 🙌🏼✨🫰🏽

Wow! This place is awesome. We went on a Wednesday lunch time. The place was rammed, so I would highly recommend making a reservation. Even though it was extremely busy the service was friendly, fast and efficient. It wasn’t too noisy despite it being crowded. Our food turned up in good time and was hot. We ordered the dry rubbed wings and the pulled pork meat plate with Slaw, beans and french fries. Everything was delicious. Plentiful portions too. Even though I shared our dish with my husband we still had food left over to take home. Would really look forward to a return visit to try other menu items. The Brisket looked fabulous.

Ruthie’s is one of those places we come back to again and again. It’s our go-to spot for taking friends and family when they visit because we know it never disappoints.
Yes, weekend reservations can be tough if you don’t plan ahead. And yes, service can slow down a bit when they’re busy. But the food? Always worth it.
We love the cornbread, deviled eggs, fried chicken biscuit, anything with brisket, the grits, potato salad, lattes, and of course the cookies. Everything is consistently delicious.
Plan ahead for a reservation, be patient with parking and service during peak times, and you’ll be rewarded with an incredible meal. Such a gem.
